Traditional Wedding Ceremony Outline
Prelude Music
It's customary at weddings for the quartet to begin prelude music 15-30 minutes prior to the ceremony starts. The length of prelude music required depends upon how several guests are attending.
The guests are seated.
The groom, best man and Officiant enter by utilizing a side door. They all stand facing the guests.
An usher escorts the grandmother(s) of the bride to their seats.

An usher escorts the mother and father from the groom to their seats.
An usher escorts the mother of the bride to her seat. Her father can also be seated, if he is not walking her down the aisle.
Processional Music
Each of the guests stand.
The ushers stroll down the aisle (or escort the bridesmaids) and stand subsequent the groom and best man and then face the guests.
The bridesmaids stroll down the aisle.
The maid and/or matron of honor stroll(s) down the aisle.
The ring bearer walks down the aisle.
The flower girl walks down the aisle or the flower girl and ring bearer walk down together.
Processional music adjustments and/or the volume increases.
Bridal Processional
The father in the bride escorts the bride down aisle.
Recessional Concludes the Ceremony.
Bridal party files out in reverse order.
Postlude
This supplies a pleasant atmosphere for guests as they exit and helps to create a smooth transition in to the reception.
